- The avoidance or reduction of ice through the use of cold water for aggregate cooling is very efficient, as the water is kept in circulation and only needs to be cooled by a few degrees.
- Cold water production can be in operation only during concrete production or can run continuously to provide cool make-up water.
- The KTI Falling Film Chillers for Aggregate Cooling are specially designed for the requirements of the construction industry and can even contaminated water cool down.
- The use of cold water lowers the temperature of the aggregates very quickly before feeding into the concrete mixer.

KTI Falling Film Chiller for Aggregate Cooling (CAC-w)
KTI Falling Film Chillers (CAC-w), so-called Baudelot ice water coolers, are specially developed to cool even contaminated water efficiently, quickly and economically. The cooled water is then used to cool the aggregates accordingly. This takes place either on a so-called wetbelt (flooded conveyor belt) or in flooded silos.
The so-called aggregate chillers are designed in such a way that even contaminated water can be cooled down. It is therefore possible to let the water flow in a circuit, thus reducing the actual consumption to a minimum. The aggregates flow in the opposite direction to the water flow.
Efficient and stable operation is the top priority for the KTI Falling Film Chillers for aggregate cooling. The chillers can also be used to cool the mixing water for use in the actual mixing process.
